How It Began

History

After attending Paul Mitchell’s course in cosmetology school and receiving awards on a national level, Blair St. Clair (Drew Bryson) became a licensed cosmetologist and pursued the world of wig-making and styling for musical theatre. Her initial dream was to work as a wig stylist on Television, Film, and Broadway. Because Cosmetology School offers very little to no education in working with wigs, most of St. Clair’s wig making abilities were self-taught coupled with her knowledge of color theory and hair cutting. Blair soon received many awards and acclaim for her wig making and styling skills as well as appearing on state-wide news channels and TLC shows, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and Toddlers and Tiaras as a hair and makeup artist. Having designed the wigs for many regional productions of various musicals/plays, and television, Blair decided to switch gears and focus her attention toward making wigs, with her passion of hair, for her personal career as a drag queen where she’d continue to appear on the tenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. 

Career/Music

Blair St. Clair’s international acclaim as a Reality Television Star rose to stardom after she released her debut single, "Now or Never", on April 27, 2018 following her exit from RuPaul’s Drag Race. St. Clair released a follow-up single, "Call My Life", with a music video on June 26, 2018. Her seven-track debut album of the same name was released just three days later which quickly took the spot of Number One Album on the Billbord Dance/Electronic Sales Chart. The remix EP of the "Call My Life" single was released on August 10, 2018 later that year. It features Dave Audé, Chris Cox,DrewG., Hector Fonseca, Zambianco and Ralphi Rosario. She released her third single, "Irresistible" with a music video on October 25, 2018 to close the visuals of her debut album. 

In 2019, Blair St. Clair announced a new era of music and released her new single "Easy Love" on July 12, 2019 under ADA Records and Warner Music after her merge with the companies. On April 30, 2020 Blair released her single "Empty" as the first song from her new album to be released in the summer of 2020. 

How it Began

Due to the nature of the world-wide pandemic of COVID-19, Blair founded and created the company, Hair By Blair, after her touring schedule had been wiped clean as a national safety caution. St. Clair decided to begin a business of her own to cater to an all-inclusive clientele offering high end, luxe 100% human hair wigs. The brand was built from her platform as a drag queen to help offer the highest quality wigs to her clients with the slogan “Look beautiful on the outside. Feel beautiful on the inside.”
